Year 7 and Year 8

What is the course structure?

In Year 7 and Year 8 learners study twelve different topics. At the end of each topic they are assessed on the skills and knowledge which they have been learning each half term.

What will I study?

Learners follow a chronological program of study in which they will investigate British and International History beginning in 1000AD through to the late Twentieth Century.

Year 8

  • Transatlantic Slave Trade

  • First World War propaganda

  • Interwar - the rise of Hitler

  • The Holocaust

  • World War II Children

  • Post war social changes in Newcastle upon Tyne
