What is the course structure?
In KS3 pupils will follow a set of creative projects to develop their skills.
In years 7 and 8 pupils will develop skills in:

Modern and traditional textile techniques

Development of creative design ideas
-
Textile 3 dimensional construction
-
Decorative techniques
In Year 9 pupils will follow a further set of creative projects to develop their skills. Pupils will develop skills in:

Wide range of technology and equipment such as embellisher machines, embroidery machines, 2D design, laser cutting and use of the heat press for a range of print techniques.

Development of hand skill including embroidery, applique, felting, distress techniques, fabric painting and silk painting.

Cultural inspired textile such as Day of the Dead festival

Textiles inspired by artists, culture, architecture, historical research and contemporary themes.
