What is the course structure?
This course has four units:
Unit 1: Principles of health and fitness
Unit 2: Healthy lifestyles
Unit 3: Preparing and planning for health and fitness
Unit 4: Develop a personal health and fitness programme
What will I study?
This qualification is designed for learners with an interest in health and fitness. It will provide learners with experience of using different training techniques and methods to enable them to use these within further education or apprenticeships. It will also provide them with the opportunity to develop and experience their own fitness programme.
How is the course assessed?
Units 1, 2 and 4 are an internally assessed portfolio of evidence.
Unit 3 is an externally set and marked assessment paper.
