What is the course structure?
The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Technical Certificate in Business Enterprise has been developed in consultation with employers in the business enterprise sector to provide learners with the transferable skills they will need to be successful in their future careers. The qualification offers routes to apprenticeships, employment and further study in the business sector.
What will I study?
You will study 4 required units, 1 of which is external.
Unit 1: The Business Enterprise Environment
Unit 2: Researching a Concept for a New or Revised Product or Service
Unit 3: Promoting and Financing an Enterprise Idea
Unit 4: Planning and Pitching an Enterprise Idea
BTEC programmes have always required applied learning that brings together knowledge and understanding (the cognitive domain) with practical and technical skills (the psychomotor domain). This is achieved through learners performing vocational tasks that encourage the development of appropriate vocational behaviours (the affective domain) and transferable skills. Transferable skills are those such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis, which are valued in both higher education and the workplace.
How is the course assessed?
The required units make up 100% of the course and 25% of the course is externally assessed.
