We are extremely committed to ensuring all our students receive a broad and balanced curriculum offering NCFE CACHE Level 2 in both Child Development and Health and Social Care and EdExcel BTEC Level 3 in Health and Social Care. The Social Studies department at Kenton School is a highly skilled, enthusiastic and forward-looking team of 1 Health and Social Care specialist, 1 Psychology and Sociology Specialist and three RE specialists.
We are seeking a talented and inspiring Child Development/Health and Social Care specialist to enhance our team. The role will also involve teaching a small number of lessons within the wider department, i.e. RE.
If you are the person we are looking for, this will be underpinned by a passion for the subject, broad base of subject knowledge and the ability to apply a range of teaching and learning strategies. You will possess the ability to work effectively with all students, engaging them through exciting yet challenging lessons and embedding a culture of positive behaviour for learning. You will be proactive in creating community links to offer a wide range of enrichment activities to support learning. And, most importantly, you will be committed to our school ethos of ‘all different, all equal,’ instilling high expectations in all our students.
