Sixth form

Kenton School has a diverse Post 16 curriculum which allows students to maximise their potential through a wide range of options and opportunities.

If you are creative then we have a range of arts and performance-based subjects to choose from; for those who are aiming for university or apprenticeships we offer academic and vocational subjects. If you want to be an engineer or work in construction or a practical industry, then we can support you to make that happen!

Last year 58 students successfully applied for university, with a similar number applying again this year. We have had a large number of students receive unconditional offers and places in Russell Group institutions. Other students have been successful in their search for apprenticeships both at higher and degree level.

One of the huge bonuses of our provision is the individualised support we can give you as a student. Not only do we push for academic excellence but we also offer excellent pastoral support through Ms Philson and the wide team of Form Tutors.

Throughout the day Sixth Form students have free access to a common room, a study room and the Sports Café. We also offer a range of additional opportunities such as the student council, World Challenge, sports teams, NE1 Can events and much more.

We also provide targeted catch up, details of which can be found here

More information about the courses we run in Sixth Form can be found in our prospectus
